It's a question of political will (Australia, Japan)

From Wikidebates
This argument is an objection to : We can't stop immigration.

Summary

Migration is not inevitable. Australia has made it clear that it will not accept illegal migrants, and there is no flow of boats to that country. This prevents the tragedies we see in the Mediterranean. As for Japan, it refuses migrants and we don't hear of thousands arriving illegally. So all it takes is for a country to show a real willingness to guard its borders for migrants to stop flocking there.
