Evil is an illusion

SummarySummary

A fox in a henhouse: good for the fox, bad for the hens. In itself, nothing is "good" or "evil"; these words are categories relative to a particular position. It's illogical to make "evil" a category in its own right, a substance, when it's a relation: x is bad for y, good for z. X (event, person, situation, phenomenon etc.) is neither good nor bad in itself!

Spinoza quote

Not only can we establish intellectually that "evil" does not exist in itself, but some people have realized this through mystical experience. In this experience, everything is perfect, everything is good, and the notion of evil dissolves.
