In particular, there are hellish IMEs, where the subject sees demons, finds himself in a gloomy place, tortured by demons. These IMEs resemble medieval descriptions of hell; they correspond well to certain morbid hallucinations. Do they not reveal the hallucinatory nature of IMEs?
