“In 2017, more than 700,000 Rohingya became refugees after fleeing severe violence and crimes against humanity committed as part of an ethnic cleansing campaign carried out by the Myanmar army. Facebook (owned by Meta) has contributed to this violence and discrimination against this population by disseminating and amplifying anti-Rohingya content on the platform.”
