SummarySummary

Whether in the Far East or the West, people are experiencing "awakening". This experience gives a sense of immediate access to reality in its fullest, and is accompanied by an intensification of consciousness. Those who have experienced it say that it differs as much from the ordinary state of consciousness as the latter differs from dreaming. In this state, there is no God, but subjects perceive either a kind of emptiness (= Buddhism) or an impersonal unity (= Hindu non-dualism).

For those who have access to this "awakening", God is a pure metaphysical speculation that has no, or no longer any, raison d'être.
